Georgia's Babies Can't Wait Program

Babies Can't Wait is Georgia's early intervention program for eligible infants and toddlers from birth until their third birthday.

The program helps families access evaluations, service coordination, and developmental support when children have qualifying delays or conditions.

Georgia families can contact their local program office to learn about eligibility and the referral process. Program eligibility is not based on family income.

Understanding IEPs and School-Based Therapy in Georgia

Some children with disabilities may qualify for special education and related services through their public school.

An Individualized Education Program, or IEP, describes the educational goals and services identified for an eligible student.

Parents who have concerns about their child's school performance or functional development can ask their local school system about its evaluation process.

School-based services and private therapy serve different purposes, so families may need to explore both depending on their child's needs.
